Chlorine / pH / Alk
Rapid Test for Spa & Pool Water Analysis.
The THREE-CHAMBER TESTER with an inter-changeable colour comparison chart and patented three-chamber system is a competitively priced starter unit for the determination of chlorine and pH value
The Bromine-pH POOLTESTER is used to measure the concentration of bromine (1– 8 mg/l) and pH value (6.8 – 8.2) where, for example, bromine sticks are used as disinfecting agents.
Each POOLTESTER includes sufficient foil packed tablets for an average of 20 tests and a multi-lingual instruction manual.
This MINITESTER chlorine-pH ensures the determination of free chlorine (0.1– 3 mg/l) and pH-value (6.8 – 8.2). The Minitester is performed to do the measurement one after the other, e.g. starting with free chlorine continuing with pH.
Each Mini tester includes tablets in foil for 18 test and a multi-lingual instruction.
The DPD tablet is the most widely used test for determining Free and Combined Chlorine in pool water. Establishing a Free Chlorine residual is the most important step toward protection of bather health
DPD No. 1 tablets react with pool water containing chlorine or bromine, colouring the water sample various shades of red. The deeper the colour, the higher the concentration of sanitiser.
DPD tablet No.3 is used after DPD1 to measure total chlorine or bromine. The difference between the two measurements is the combined chlorine (chloramine) or bromine (bromamine) value. After subtracting the free chlorine reading you are left with a figure for combined chlorine.
Phenol Red tablets are based on a pH sensitive dye which varies in colour between yellow at pH 6.8 & red at pH 8.4.
DPD1 tablets are used for Free Chlorine and Bromine testing. These are a rapid dissolving economical grade of tablet for use in Pooltester and similar dip cells only.
Packed in foil wraps of 10 tablets. Price shown is for each strip of 10
Used after DPD1 to measure total chlorine or bromine. The difference between the two measurements is the combined chlorine (chloramine) or bromine (bromamine) value. This should be a small as possible as it indicates the presence of chloramines, the principal cause of chlorine irritation complaints.
Phenol Red tablets are used for pH testing. These are a rapid dissolving economical grade of tablet for use in Pooltesters.
