It is important to keep your spa water sanitised and protected from bacteria , high water temperatures provide the ideal environment for bacteria to develop and multiply therefore the correct water sanitiser levels must be maintained to keep the water safe. Correct water balance will ensure clear and comfortable spa water, and help to prolong the life of your Hot tub.

We cannot deliver Spa water Chemicals to any offshore addresses at this time. Oxidising chemicals must be shipped by carrier.  Hot tub chemicals only - Normal Delivery charges apply, however due to carriage restrictions associated with these chemicals a min £1.00 surcharge per individual item will be added to your basket at checkout.

Spa Granular shock - (Calcium Hypochlorite 65%) is an unstabilised form of Chlorine sanitiser.
As it is unstabilised it is therefore ideal for ‘shocking’ the pool when you need to get a lot of Chlorine into the water quickly. Oxidises & removes organic pollutants.

Too little Calcium in you spa water can cause surface damage to pool surfaces, but too much causes scaling. Various "ideal" Calcium levels are quoted by pool equipment manufacturers and you should seek their guidance.

Chemicals have become an essential part of our world. If treated with respect and understanding, they improve safety standards within the pool environment and enhance our enjoyment. Please read these general precautions, which can also apply to other chemicals found in a domestic environment and enjoy your pool and spa bath.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MIX CALCIUM HYPOCHLORITE WITH STABILISED CHLORINE DONORS (DICHLOR OR TRICHLOR)

  • Do not use with other materials unless the instructions say you can. With pool chemicals, this is particularly true with Chlorine, Bromine and Oxygen Sanitisers.
  • NEVER mix different chemicals, including cleaning products, weed-killers and chlorine products as a dangerous reaction may occur
  • When pre-dissolving chemicals, always use a clean polythene container. Wash thoroughly before and after use.
  • Close the container after use.
  • Do not eat whilst handling chemicals.
  • Store chemicals in a cool dry place well away from children and animals.
  • Do not smoke whilst handling chemicals.
  • Handle chemicals in a well ventilated area, especially Chlorine and Bromine products.
  • Do not allow powders to become damp.
  • When pre-dissolving chemicals always add chemicals to water and never water to chemicals 
  • Do not add chemicals to the pool or spa bath whilst there are people in the water.
  • Consult the local authority before disposing of surplus chemicals. They may have a special procedure for this.
  • Do not discharge large quantities of water containing chemicals without the consent of the disposal authority.
    In the UK this will usually be your water company.
  • Carefully clean up all spillage.
  • Regularly test your pool water.

General Spa Safety

  • Do not drink alcoholic beverages before or during spa use
  • Never allow water temperature to exceed 40oC
  • Before children use the spa ensure that the water temperature does not exceed 30oC
  • Do not allow children to use the spa without supervision
  • If you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, any cardiovascular condition or are on medication consult your doctor before using the spa
